Description

This engine was generally fitted to fairly industrial walk behind lawnmowers

It has its carburettor fitted on the left of the engine (as viewed from behind) and exhaust on the right. It has overhead valves with the spark plug set to the side of the rocker cover fairly tight to the exhaust.

The plastic fuel tank is mounted on the left of the engine towards the back and has a small guage in front of the cap.
It has an oil dipstick tube on the right hand side towards the rear

Cold starting is achieved by means of a traditional choke operated by the throttle cable.

Above the carburettor is a plastic cannister with two plastic nuts which holds the air filter cartridge

The engine cowling has a dull sound if tapped due to its noise reducing laminated design

The Model, Type and Code numbers are stamped into the engine's pressed steel cover just above the rocker cover.
The Model number will be 104772 (pull start only) or 104777 (electric and pull start).
